The Legend Cub Special first appeared in April 2006. Most notably, the Legend Cub Special featured a new two-tone paint scheme. However, a long list of additional features made it truly special. These included a leather interior, adjustable pilot air vents, a lighting package, a NAV/COM avionics package with a panel-dock-mounted Garmin GPS, an air/oil separator, an oil quick drain, a composite propeller, and large 8.00 x 6 tires.

The Legend Combat was introduced in May 2006. Reminiscent of the Piper L-4, L-18 and L-21, American Legend Aircraft Company created this modern version of the historic aircraft.
